ATTENTION:  ALL ONTARIO RESCUES

Northern Ontario Animal Welfare Society (NOAWS) is embarking on a much needed spay/neuter clinic in the remote First Nations community of Kashechewan..

This has been an ongoing and very successful program in Moosonee and we are hoping to do the same in Kash.  Along with the spay/neuter of the resident pets we will be dealing with many strays as well to prevent the mass over population of dogs existing there.

This clinic will be run by the Grey Bruce Aboriginal Quimmiq Team and their generous offer to help with the desperate over population of dogs on Ontario Reserves.

We are expecting to be bringing many unwanted strays south with us in hopes to re-home as many as possible.

We are asking for a commitment from any Ontario rescue to help us in our plight and ask that you may be willing to take one or more of these beautiful Northern Dogs in hopes of giving them a second chance at a good life.  NOTE:  All dogs leaving Kashechewan will be fully vaccinated, spayed or neutered before departure.

This clinic will be held in February so please let us know as soon as possible if you are able to help as we will need to know that these dogs will have a safe haven to go to.

Thanks to Kathy Jeanneault, owner/operator of All Heart Pet Rescue, Powassan ON., we have a commitment from her that she will take five.  Bless her heart!

Thank you for your interest
